Editor's review
This is a software to control the activity on the LPT port pins (12/8) of a PC.
This is a tool that helps activate the pints of a LPT port of a PC. The sequence of activation is controlled by a script that you can write. The pins can be activated in synchronization with music playing. The direction (sequence) of pins being activated could be set by the script. You could do this manually too with the mouse or keyboard. Script debugging is made simple. The editor can be invoked by simply pressing F12. The script you can write is quite flexible. Features available include set, clear, invert state of several pins methods, shift left/right, waiting for specified time interval; cycles, subprograms, etc. The LPT pins then can turn on devices such as LEDs, relays or others connected to the port automatically. One could create a music visualizer by connecting LEDs to the pins 1 to 12 and activate them through StereoMixer, Line in, Microphone, etc.
The tool offers visualization plug-ins from music players like the Winamp, WMP, AIMP2, etc. You could use a source of your own for music visualization too. The activation of LEDs in response to the script or the music visualizer can be previewed. The interface is extremely simple and most users should be able to figure out how to use it in a few minutes. The controls available are quite intuitive. Drag and drop of ready-made written scripts is available. You can see the LED activation against the script. This tool is compatible to Windows 98, 2k, XP, Vista, Seven for both 32 and 64 bit versions. This is a good and handy tool.
